Spring Break is just around the corner, and LitGroups is excited to offer another Poetry/Art Masterclass! Here’s what you need to know:
- This year’s project will focus on free-verse poetry and clay sculpting. Students will have instruction on both the writing and art pieces, and lots of opportunity to test their skills! Final pieces of poetry and art will be collected and published in book form (pictures of sculptures will be included in the book- actual sculptures will be taken home). Every student will be given a copy of the book when it is completed and printed.
- Programming takes place at The Literacy Centre (662-10th Street in Brandon).
- It’s happening Monday, March 26 to Thursday, March 29 (no program on Good Friday).
- Programming begins at 10 am sharp every day and goes until 12 pm noon.
- It may get a bit messy on Wednesday and Thursday when we are working with clay- please have students wear/bring appropriate clothing.
- Program is FREE, including snacks, materials and book costs.
- Space is LIMITED TO 15 STUDENTS so register now! (AS OF MONDAY, MARCH 12, 12 PM – ONLY 5 SPOTS LEFT!)
