MIKALE ZONDERVAN- LITGroups Coordinator
Mikale was born and raised in Northwestern Ontario, near the border of Manitoba. Mikale felt God call her to ministry when she was a teenager during a girl’s event that focused on the scripture Psalm 139. Ever since then it has been on her heart to share and encourage youth of today that they are fearfully and wonderfully made.
After meeting her husband, they both attended University in southern Ontario, and years later found themselves living in various parts of British Columbia. Mikale and her husband decided to make the move to Brandon, Manitoba a few years ago to be closer to family and raise their two young boys. Mikale loves finding cute little coffee shops, home decor and being creative, gardening and spending a nice summer day at the lake with her family and dog Zoey!

I have always loved volunteering my time in children’s ministry at church and have continued on teaching riding lessons and coaching gymnastics for younger children seeing their face light when something clicks is so special! I look forward to make connections with children and nurture them providing them with tools that help make learning fun and exciting!

My heart for children is such a big part of who I am. It is such an honour to watch them grow, discover who they are, and encourage them as they work toward their goals while supporting them in a safe and loving environment.
I am so grateful to be returning to this program and have the opportunity to pour into these kids’ lives while showing them the love of Jesus. This job has helped me discover my calling and has been such a blessing in my own faith journey. I am thankful to be part of something that allows me to grow alongside these children and make a positive impact in our community.
